This basic course teaches the core areas of nutritional advice in sports. The focus lies on the one hand on theoretical observations of sport nutrition and the ingestion of nutrients, on the other hand on the successful mediation of content. The basics of food ingredients will be discussed and the nutrients will be put in sport-context (before, during, after). This includes both drinking and sports-friendly food. Furthermore, current issues like food supplements and nutrition myths will be talked about and diagnostic methods as well as interventions in practical counseling situations will be tested. Relating to consulting, the core competences of a professional conversation technique will be taught and applied in practice.
