In the middle of November, our working group organized a mini-symposium on "Extremes of Human Energy Balance: Connecting the Dots between Energy Surplus and Deficiency". In addition to the two hosts, Dr. Eimear Dolan from the University of Sao Paolo and Prof. Dr. Karsten Köhler, three more speakers were invited: Daniel Longman (Loughborough University, UK), Anja Boy-Westhphal (University of Kiel, GER) and Kevin Hall (National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Disease, USA).

In total, 121 participants attended the symposium. The majority of the participants were students of our faculty, but also research assistants, lecturers, PhD students and participants from industry were among the attendees.
