Together with TUMs very own experts, students from medicine, sport science, health science, neuro- and electro-engineering, developed instrumented tests and had the chance to validate them in a small sample of persons with multiple sclerosis. The practical parts were embedded in a framework of experts talks from sport science (Jan Kern), engineering (Paula Villa-Fulton), and medicine (Lilian Aly, Rüdiger Ilg). The organizers, Philipp Gulde (SG), Friederike Schmidt-Graf (MRI), and Lilian Aly (MRI), were very happy about the great outcome after an intense week with 19 highly motivated participants. Or, to cite a student: “Great to meet so many amazing people with amazing minds from amazing backgrounds. Sharing knowledge and perspectives - all contributing to a greater good.”
