During the seminar, students of four German universities, Technische Universität München, Johannes-Gutenberg Universität Mainz, Deutsche Sporthochschule Köln, and Universität Tübingen will work together in teams and compete against each other. A US-American university (Liberty University Lynchberg) is also one of the competitors as part of the seminar.
The concepts will be evaluated in three rounds. The three groups with the most positive ratings will present their concept to a jury of the DOSB in Frankfurt on July 23, 2015. They will also receive a certificate of participation of the Deutsche Olympische Akademie certifying their performance in the academic-Olympic case study contest. The seminar is held as a block seminar and is credited with 3 ECTS.
The kickoff meeting of the course is on April 16, 2015, 10.15-12.00 in room L006 (Campus D Uptown München, Georg-Brauchle-Ring 60). The presentations (when students of the universities compete against each other) are on June 11 (18.00-20.00), June 24 (18.00-20.00), and July 17, 2015 (18.00-20.00). The final round of the winner teams is at the beginning of the winter term 2014/15 - the team will be evaluated by a highly renown committee. For the successful participation of the seminar, presence at all dates is obligatory.
