Besides the abovementioned lectures and interesting discussions, all participants presented a variety of research projects related to the Olympic Games, Olympic Movement and Olympism. Anna Mei had the opportunity to present her own research on using the Olympic Games as a platform to create awareness and educate consumer on social responsibility and sustainable behavior.
Throughout this intensive program, participants were also exposed to hands-on knowledge about the ancient games and ancient Greece with visits to archeological sites such as Olympia, Nemea and Delphi. “This entire experience was unique in a way that we acquired more information about the history of the Games and the Olympic Movement, but we did that bringing differences together and learning from the professors’ and participants’ different perspectives”, summarizes Anna Mei about the seminar.
