From October 19 - 28, 2022, representatives of the German SINN-i project partners from the Innovationsmanufaktur, University of Siegen, Outdooractive, German Institutes of Textile and Fiber Research, and Technical University of Munich traveled to Tokyo, Saitama and Wakayama, Japan. Our colleague Dr. Christoph Mall joined the team of six German innovators and researchers.
We were welcomed by various project partners: Miyaji Chikara, Haramaki Yasko and Haramaki Koichi - professional Judo athletes and coaches, Judo Club Kijukan; Tamazawa Max and his team - Sasakawa Sports Foundation; Susanne Schierok - Chief Representative of the Freestate of Bavaria in Japan; Naonori Itoh - Dunlop Sports Wellness, Co., Ltd.; Dr. Ryoichi Ando - Keio University & Superhuman Sports Society & Kinix; Nobuyuki Shibuya and his team – Saitama City; Developers from 1->10, Inc.; and Dr. Mochida Yukou - MCH Consulting & TUM Alumni.
In various meetings and locations, we presented and discussed the results of our three SINN-i projects Go, WannaGo!, Active City Innovation and STEM on the Move together with our hosts.
We explored the future perspectives on how to bring Joy of Movement into the world, how innovative technologies can promote human engagement and how to motivate young and old and all in between to be more active in their living environments.
