Welcome to the Chair of Preventive Pediatrics

Our Profile

Prevention of diseases, especially of the cardiovascular system, in childhood and adolescence is a central research topic. We investigate cardiovascular risk factors in children, adolescents, young adults, and pregnant women, establish noninvasive, age- and gender-specific reference data, and record determinants of sports fitness in adolescent athletes. We develop physical activity concepts and evaluate prevention programs for healthy and chronically ill children and adolescents.
