New Publication on Germany’s Sugar Reduction Strategy for Soft Drinks
February 2023 - Researchers of the Professorship of Public Health und Prevention, together with the German Alliance for Non-Communicable Diseases (DANK) and colleagues from the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) München, have analyzed data on sugar reduction for soft drinks in Germany. The result: Sugar reduction in soft drinks is not progressing, the federal government's reduction program is inadequate. Link

January 2023 - Dr. Jacob Burns and Prof. Michael Laxy traveled to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania in January 2023, where they co-organized several sessions during the ARISE Network Adolescent Health Coordination Meeting and presented at the 4th Annual Symposium of translating research into practice for adolescent health and nutrition in sub-Saharan Africa.
