This cooperation project is flanked by an accompanying research project of the Diversity Sociology working group headed by Prof. Dr. Elisabeth Wacker. It will run from 2021 to 2023.
On June 22, 2021, starting at 11:15 a.m. in the Pavillon lecture hall of the Klinikum rechts der Isar, a panel discussion will be held on the topic "'Gemeinsam da - gemeinsam nah'. Health Care in Town and Country - New Ways of Community Health Promotion and Disease Care" will take place.
In addition to Prof. Wacker, participants will include the President of the Bavarian State Parliament, Ilse Aigner, as well as the District Administrator of Weilheim-Schongau, Andrea Jochner-Weiß, the Medical Director of the MRI, Prof. Dr. Markus Schwaiger, and the Medical Director of Weilheim Hospital, Prof. Dr. Andreas Knez. The event will be moderated by Peter Holzmüller, Head of Organizational Development at MRI.
"It's about an exciting closing of ranks between very motivated and specialized partners," Prof. Wacker explained her core messages at the press conference. "Profits for both sides are expected. Above all, it is about good opportunities for a further developing holistically optimized health care in the Weilheim-Schongau district. With a view to the diverse interests and tasks in the bridge-building design, the accompanying project b4 will observe a pathway of changed community health promotion, evaluate it with the help of the contributions of the participatively involved different interest groups, and finally report on what returns can be expected from corresponding communities. Specifically, as a starting point, a health care profile of the region will be created, alliances in collaborations will be clarified, particular points of interest will be aligned, and expectations of people in the region will also be captured; professional partnerships will be identified, and opinions will be generated using a qualitative research design."
