With Karima Kirchner our team has grown again - welcome to our professorship.
Since May 2021, Karima Kirchner supports our team, initially as an intern, later as a student assistant. Karima completed her bachelor's degree in "Molecular Biotechnology" from 2015 to 2019 at the University of Heidelberg. Directly afterwards she started the master's program in "Sport and Exercise Sciences" at the Alberts-Ludwigs-University in Freiburg.
Karima currently supervises and supports several ongoing projects at the professorship. In cooperation with the University of Würzburg, she is working on a research project on "Continous Blood Glucose Monitoring - Effects of Everyday Exercise on Circadian Blood Glucose Levels of Inactive Individuals". She also supports our team in various measurements of body composition as well as resting metabolic rate and is working on her master's thesis on "Reduction of energy expenditure after maintenance of lean mass during weight loss".
