ATP Physician Networks – Division of Labor and Performance of Empirical and Organized Networks in the Ambulatory Care Sector in Germany

The project "ATP Physician Networks - Division of Labor and Performance of Empirical and Organized Networks in the Ambulatory Care Sector in Germany” aims to research the division of labor and performance of organized networks in comparison to regular supply of healthcare in Germany.

The project includes an evaluation of the performance of organized networks compared to standard care, using routine data. Additionally, an investigation of the division of labor in organized and empirical networks will be conducted, using network analyses and a structured interview of the organized networks. By means of the systematic analysis of measures for the coordination of working relationships in physician networks, factors for successful networked healthcare management shall be derived. In the project, organized and, if applicable, acknowledged networks in accordance with § 87b Abs. 4 SGB V in Bavaria, Brandenburg and Westphalia-Lippe are being investigated. The project started in October 2018 and has a term of three years.

The main contacts for this project are Sebastian Franke and Iryna Iashchenko.

Important Information on the Questionnaire

In order to realize a systematic stocktaking, we are conducting a nationwide, structured survey on structures and quality assurance measures in organized physician networks in Germany. The aim is to identify possible success factors and obstacles to networked care on-site by surveying structures and quality assurance measures in the organized networks. Please contact Sebastian Franke for further information or to receive the questionnaire.
